Cobalt Chrome Wedding Rings

Just a quick update that we are now offering Cobalt Chrome Wedding Rings.  These rings are scratch resistant, about a 7.5 on the Mohs hardness scale.  Not quite as scratch resistant as Tungsten, but nothing can beat it.  What’s so special about these rings you might be asking yourself?  They have unparalleled white color.  If you want to spend $1500+ on a platinum ring you might be able to match the whiteness of this ring – white gold is also over priced, however white gold is just plated gold, and the rhodium plating does wear off in about 6 months.  With Cobalt Chrome you won’t need to worry about the white color fading as it is a Solid Cobalt Band

Kelly – Cobalt Chrome rings are bio-inert, and are designed not to interact with the skin. There is a misconception out there that Cobalt = bad, because Cobalt as a binder in Tungsten Rings is no good. This is true, if you find a Tungsten Ring that uses Cobalt as a binder, it is not good – you’ll want to look for a Tungsten Ring with a nickel binder.

However, a Cobalt Chrome ring is a blend of Cobalt, Chromium, Titanium, and a few other alloys designed to give the ring a beautiful white finish, and be completely bio-inert with the body.

I love this ring and really want to take care of it, so I haven’t showered with it, and I take it off to wash my hands or do the dishes, and if by chance it does get wet, I pat it dry right away.
